As part of this Phase the students will participate in the Cambridge International Primary Checkpoint programme with an exit exam at Grade 6 level in English, Maths and Science. Grade 6 is the last year of this Phase. Students have different subjects and teachers. Homework is given and formal examinations written. They are guided to cope with more advanced academic work and greater independence. Percentages are given in reports. At the end of this Phase they are ready for the Senior Phase. Students in this Phase follow the Knowledge Network Computer Studies Curriculum.
The Grade 7 curriculum includes the National Curriculum in all subjects and Cambridge Secondary Curriculum in English, Maths and Science. EMS forms part of their curriculum. The academic aspect of schooling is more focused and students are given academic and study skills to maximize their potential for Higher Education. Students in this Phase follow the Knowledge Network Computer Studies Curriculum.
