The Ashton International College Swimming Team continues to make a ‘splash’ in aquatics. The completion of our swimming pool in 2014 has ensured that our swimmers have more time to train and that we continue to compete convincingly in the Eastern Gauteng ‘A’ league. Despite being relatively small, compared to the larger schools against whom we compete, Ashton is known for its competitive spirit and as a result boasts a number of Level 3 swimmers who are making a name for themselves (and Ashton) at Regional and Provincial Level. Boys and girls from all age groups participate annually in both the Midmar Mile Open Water Swim and the Dischem Swim at Sun City and the exemplary results are testimony to the commitment and enthusiasm of our students.

Our Vision is to create a Virtual School Experience for our students that incorporates the values and ethos of Ashton International College so that each student is able to unlock their potential in this dynamic world while following the IEB and Cambridge curricula to create endless opportunities.

Through the use of integrated and interactive multimedia tools, Ashton International College aims to provide a high quality holistic virtual experience for all their students, which creates endless opportunities for our students in this ever changing world.
The approach in our virtual school consist of the following OBJECTIVES:
Live student to teacher interaction which is crucial for the progress of the student, through a balanced, caring and relevant educational experience. Teachers must be committed, providing a holistic, balanced educational programme that focuses on the needs, aspirations and abilities of each individual child.
Live student to student interaction which creates critical and analytical thinking skills stimulating the progress of the students, inspiring them to develop knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
Excellence in our approach from passionate teachers to treat every student as a unique individual with different abilities which is essential to an individual’s personal and scholastic growth based on the fruit of the Spirit namely, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and Self-Control (Galatians 5 :22 – 23).
Pastoral and academic support for parents and students to assist during this unprecedented Covid-19 period.
