SOARING WITH EXCELLENCE – MEET THE CAMBRIDGE EAGLES CAPTAINS

Joshua Schneider – Captain

Is a Softball champ who has represented Eastern’s at a number of inter-provincial tournaments. He also plays provincial baseball and was called up for the u18 Baseball Elite training squad. He is a keen coach for the JC Softball team too. Joshua plays Chess for Ashton and enjoys representing Cambridge in various athletics events. Joshua served the community through various fundraising efforts as a Squire in 2024. He excels in Life Sciences.

Isabelle Harmer – Captain

Is a Netball guru. She has played for the school team since Form 1 and went on to represent the Jaguars at the National Indoor Netball champs. Isabelle served the community through various fundraising efforts as a Debutante in 2024. She has achieved colours for Academics and her best subject is Geography.

Muhammed Patel – Vice Captain

Enjoys various sporting activities. He has represented the school in Soccer, Touch Rugby, Swimming and Athletics. He has enjoyed provincial representation in Swimming, Touch Rugby and Boxing. Muhammed served as a SRC in Forms 1 and 2.  His favourite subject is English.

Roshant Seema – Vice Captain

Lives for her sport! She has represented Ashton in Soccer, Netball and Athletics in particular Shot Put. Roshant received the Captain’s Choice MVP award for Cambridge at the Sport and Culture Gala Evening.  Her favourite subject is Computer Applications Technology.

FIERY ENTHUSIASM – MEET YOUR LONDON DRAGONS CAPTAINS

     

Lehumo Kambule – Captain

Is a talented Soccer player who captained Ashton’s U19 team  this year and was awarded the best Sportsmanship award for the u19 Soccer team at this year’s Sport and Culture Gala evening.  He excels in ⁠Computer Applications Technology.

Nakita Britz – Captain

Loves playing Netball and represented Ashton in the U17 team this year. She enjoys performing on stage and participating in the Benoni Eisteddfod. She enjoyed being a Debutant this year raising funds for various charities. She excels in Business Studies.

Zach Jacobs – Vice Captain

Lives for sport! He is a valuable member of Ashton’s Soccer, Touch Rugby, Tennis and Golf teams. Academically, he placed in the IEB Top 5 achievers.  He excels at ⁠Geography.

Jordyn Goosen – Vice Captain

Is the captain of the Senior school band where she is the drummer. Proving her talent as a drummer she was awarded the Benoni Eisteddfod Best Drummer of the Year award. She enjoyed playing the stocks this year in the JSE program and it is no surprise that she excels at Business Studies. In 2023 Jordyn was part of the ⁠Cheerleading squad that performed at Nationals.

ROARING WITH PRIDE – MEET THE OXFORD LIONS CAPTAINS

    

Joseph Mukinay – Captain

Is a talented athlete and soccer player. He has represented Gauteng as a High Jump athlete at the 2024 SA Schools Athletics championships where he placed 5th in South Africa. Joseph served the community through various fundraising efforts as a Squire in 2024. He excels in Geography.

Diella Teixeira – Captain

Is an avid Netball player and the co-captain of Ashton’s Cheerleading squad. Together with the squad she placed 1st in the Dance Cheer section at the Continental championships and 4th for Stunt cheer at SA champs. She loves performing in the Choir and participated in this year’s English Olympiad. Diella is an accomplished ballerina who has performed with the Russian Youth Ballet company. She excels in Biology.

Michael Bigmore – Vice Captain

Thrives under the pressure of a Chess match. He also represents Ashton in our Choir, the senior Band and has been part of the Drama and Theatre Sports clubs. He does well in Maths Lit.

Meekaah Dass – Vice Captain

Is a talented tennis player and also the Captain of the Girls tennis team. She has enjoyed Provincial representation for tennis. Meekah is a Bronze Level President’s Award recipient and she served the community through various fundraising efforts as a Debutante in 2024. Her favourite subject is Mathematics.
