Our Pre-School learners had an exciting and curiosity-filled Science and Discovery Week, packed with hands-on experiments and playful learning experiences that sparked imagination and joy.
One of the highlights was creating volcanoes using everyday materials found at home. The children were amazed as their volcanoes bubbled and “erupted,” learning that science can be fun, messy, and magical all at once.
We also explored water surface tension through a sensory activity using bowls of water, glitter, and a drop of soap. Watching the glitter scatter instantly was a fascinating way for little scientists to observe cause and effect while engaging their senses.
To learn about the weather, the children discovered how clouds and rain work in a simple, age-appropriate way using colourful pictures and fun activities. These visual experiences helped them understand big ideas in a gentle and exciting way.
Throughout the week, there were many more moments of exploration, questions, laughter, and discovery. It was wonderful to see our learners so engaged, curious, and enthusiastic about the world around them. Science Week truly reminded us that learning begins with wonder!
